It is quite a challenge to make a 65,000-word document readable on the web, but we think the various features of the design accomplish that:
- Collapsible table-of-contents tree always available in sidebar. Cookie-based “remembering” of your selections.
- Fully customized wiki editor
- Endnotes and references pop-up on hover. Clicking on a link in the bottom footnotes section brings you to that spot in the text, with the reference highlighted for you.
- Access large-format version of images via lightbox that detects your screen resolution.
- You can print a PDF of the entire guide, or of a particular chapter, or of a particular section; and, you can print each image separately.
- The discussion tab lets you contribute resource ideas, or comment on the usefulness of the resources, or send any new links for those that have rotted, or make any other contribution related to the guide.
